This test measures core knowledge of managing Linux systems. It includes access, security, network management, Bash scripting, and automation skills. This test is Linux distro agnostic. It is inspired by the CompTIA Linux+ certification and is for users new to Linux; more seasoned system administrators can be given the separate LINUX ADMINISTRATION test or RED HAT ENTERPRISE LINUX (RHEL) ADMINISTRATION tests.
