This test is for medical coders to code using Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) as created by the American Medical Association (AMA). It includes CPT coding for surgery; for medicine; and for anesthesia, laboratory, and radiology. In addition, a sub-topic is included covering E/M and Hierarchical Condition Categories (HCC) coding. It requires use of CPT, E\/M, and ICD-10 CM manuals. This test is specific to the United States. It uses the IKM Linear Testing Platform which provides the same questions in the same order to every test taker.
